About Rae

I am an actor, singer, and collaborator currently based in Brisbane. I grew up just outside of Chicago and started seeing theater before I could even sit in my own seat. My love of the art has grown every year. I want nothing more than to share theater with people.

When I am not performing, I enjoy doing and teaching makeup. I love the way makeup lets you present yourself to the world the way you want to, whether that is adorned with glitter or just looking a little more alive.

I describe myself as a passionate, upbeat realist. I take every opportunity to talk about my love of the arts. I am also always trying to look on the bright side while recognizing that unrestrained optimism isn’t the best way to respond to serious situations.

My mission/tagline is derived from my family’s daily saying. “Make it a great day,” meaning you can’t control what is going on around you, but you can choose your attitude about it. I bring this same mindset to my craft. Helping audiences and castmates have the best time by bringing positivity and collaboration to the rooms I work in.
